Acamar is a private London-based media licensing company commercialising the rights to the children’s character “Bing“. Acamar’s “Bing” series was launched on CBeebies in June 2014. It received a BAFTA nomination in 2014, a Writer’s Guild award in 2015 and an International Emmy award in 2016.  It has been the most successful show in CBeebies’ history with over 253 million downloads from BBC’s iPlayer. It has been sold to broadcasters in over 130 countries.

The MTN programme was established to provide working capital and to refinance £5 million of an existing debt facility with Arbuthnot Lathum. Notes are currently first-ranking but the structure permits up to £2m of bank financing to rank senior to the programme. Principal collateral is the value of the IP in “Bing”. The original £7.5m MTN programme has been increased three times since establishment, once to £15m in 2018, a second time to £25m in 2020 and most recently to £40m in April 2022.  In 2023 Acamar established a second MTN programme at a subsidiary structured as a contract discounting facility to improve working capital.
