The Role

We are looking to hire a talented individual with an interest in a career in finance and relationship management to join our Investments Team as an Assistant Relationship Manager. This is a brilliant position for someone with excellent interpersonal skills to learn about the management of high net worth, sophisticated private investors. We are looking for someone at graduate level who is a team player with an interest in investments and marketing, with strong attention to detail, a positive and proactive attitude and a willingness to learn

We have a very active relationship with our investing clients who have frequent opportunities to join investor presentations to meet companies.

Your Responsibilities:

As we are a small team, your responsibilities will vary from day-to-day, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of activities. This will include: 

Client Management 

  • Maintain strong long-term relationships with existing investors, taking time to understand their needs and providing excellent client service at all times 
  • Arrange and provide technical support in meetings and investor presentations 
  • Be responsive and thorough to all client enquiries, putting consumer duty at the heart of the business 
  • Process account openings and liaise with our platform provider Credo to ensure investors are onboarded in a smooth and efficient way 
  • Prepare and distribute client reports 
  • Upkeep of the CRM system 

 

Marketing 

  • Support the marketing of new investment opportunities to investors, including the preparation and/or review of marketing materials and investor communications  
  • Continuously update and improve marketing collateral to be used in client meetings and on our website 
  • Help to improve the digitalisation of the business and client experience through the use of AI and other technology 
  • Support the development of other initiatives to help market the LGB brand 

 

Transaction Management 

  • Management of accounts on the LGB investment platform 
  • Liaise with third-party providers (custodian, stockbrokers, registrars) 
  • Manage order books of new issues 
  • Process placement of new issues, client transfers, cash management  
  • Preparing market orders for approval 

You will need:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills  
  • Positive can-do attitude and willingness to do what is needed to support colleagues across the team 
  • High standard of written communication skills both for client correspondence and preparing marketing materials 
  • Strong numerical skills, data analysis, problem-solving, and analytical skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Well-developed organisational skills: experience working in a busy fast-paced environment with tight deadlines is helpful 
  • Interest in leveraging technology and exploring how AI can improve internal processes and the client journey 
  • High levels of self-motivation and be able to work in an autonomous yet collaborative environment  
  • Openness to giving and receiving feedback to continuously improve the business and individual team members 
  • Eligibility to work in the UK 

We are also looking for the following qualifications and experience:

  • Educated to degree level with a good level of numeracy 
  • Willingness to study towards Level four RDR qualification such as the CISI Investment Advice Diploma in due course 
  • Some experience in client facing roles requiring premium levels of service 
  • Proven interest in finance, investments and relationship management
